Yaskawa Servo-Amp and Single-Axis Controller

December 5th, 2017 by Goodwin Electronics

Yaskawa recently announced a new addition to its Sigma-7 line. The Sigma-7Siec is a servo-amplifier and single-axis controller aimed at applications requiring fast and precise control of one servomotor. Yaskawa have also been able to reduce the size from their earlier MP2600iec/Sigma-7 amp-controller making the Sigma-7Siec ideal for more compact cabinets.

The Controller offers:

  • A 3.1kHz bandwidth for rapid servo responses and advanced servo-tuning algorithms.
  • Open communications with support for EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP for HMI and PC connections.
  • As well as Yaskawa’s own VIPA SILO I/O many 3rd party remote I/O modules can interface with the controller via Ethernet connection.
  • An in-built web server provides the user with accurate diagnostic information.
